13|55 founder Charles Smith will personally oversee your project, leading a team of skilled craftsmen, managing all services and providing a single point of contact throughout the process. We can be as flexible as you need, liaising with you direct or with your architect, interior designer, building contractor or other appointed agent.
DesignProductionInstallationAftercareThe first step will be for us to meet with you at your home to discuss your requirements, and to see the space you’d like to use. We’ll want to get a clear understanding of how you want to use your wine space or cellar, the type of wine and quantity you will be storing, your budget, and any style or design ideas you may already have.
Following our meeting, we’ll prepare initial ‘mood boards’ – hand-drawn visuals capturing the essence of our proposed creative approach, so that we can talk through components, materials and finishes with you in detail. We will then be able to provide an accurate cost for the project, and when you are completely happy with all specifications, we’ll draw up a 3 dimensional scale image of your space, and create a 3D computer generated design, so you will be able to take a 360° ‘walk-through’ of your wine space or cellar, viewing it from every perspective before we begin the build process.
Using freehand visuals rather than Computer Aided Design (CAD) for the initial design stage differentiates 13|55 from many other companies in this sector. Underpinning our fully bespoke service, the technique gives us the ability to make more creative, effective and efficient use of space, and allows our clients a far greater level of flexibility.
Over many years, we have established an exclusive network of specialist production partners, all selected for their craftsmanship and the quality of their work. Every project we work on is a one-off, calling for different materials and skillsets, and each individual component of your wine space or cellar will be tailor-made to meet our exacting specifications, and finished to conform to our demanding standards.
In advance of commencing installation of your wine space or cellar, we’ll discuss a schedule of works with you, and agree strict timelines for each stage of the project. 13|55 works with a hand-picked team of professional installers – each of them polite, courteous and friendly. We will respect your home and endeavour to keep any disruption to an absolute minimum.
As part of our standard service, we will undertake to visit and check your wine space or cellar 12 months after installation. To give you complete peace of mind beyond this point, we can provide an aftercare package tailored to meet your personal requirements.
